Josh Stover, Perro y Arena, Wyatt Hersey, Yudai Nishi

September 4–27, 2026
Opening Reception: September 4 / 5–7 pm

Josh Stover is an artist, designer and sign painter living in Richmond, Virginia. He runs a design studio called Variety Shop with his wife Rachael. When he isn’t doing client work with Variety Shop, Josh makes paintings (acrylic on panel), drawings (colored pencil on paper) and prints(risograph and screen prints)! He primarily makes still life scenes, and is influenced by his love of antiques, old signs and vintage illustration. In his free time he loves walking in a city environment, cooking and gardening.

Perro y Arena is a ceramics project and design studio by Tijuana-born artist Socrates Marko Medina. Socrates earned a Bachelor's in Architecture with a minor in Art History. In 2019, he founded Perro y Arena while living in Los Angeles, CA. In 2021, he returned to Tijuana and opened his studio. Socrates explores the spiritual connection between humans and the fauna of the Californias. His work reflects the textures and tones of the region’s desert landscapes, while his figurines transport us to a mystical world where we can dance with coyotes and hares under the moonlight.

Wyatt Hersey is a Santa Cruz based artist with a practice rooted in illustration, painting, and muralism. Using a printmaker's graphic sensibility, and a love of color his work explores narratives of relational ecology and ecological consciousness while instilling a sense of playfulness, mutualism, and vitality in the viewer. His background as a wildlife biologist and nature connection mentor greatly informs his work as a visual artist, as does his belief that art is an essential expression of the goodness of humanity.

Yudai Nishi was born in Aichi, Japan in 1991. After graduating from Kyoto Seika University, he began his artistic career in Tokyo. In recent years, he relocated his studio to Aichi, where he continues to develop a wide range of expressions through paintings, sculptural works, and drawing books.
