David Le Goon (Australia)

Hailing from Melbourne Australia, David Le Goon is a tattooist working from Anderson St Tattoo. While Australia is largely known for being a multicultural society, David had always felt the disconnect between himself and the world he was raised in. Being both Asian and queer led to an experience void of any real representation. Although he believes things are heading in a better direction at present, he believes we can do more to make sure people of all different backgrounds have a voice and seat at the table. As such, David Le Goon primarily focuses on creating art that centre around themes of queerness and the Asian experience.

Brad Hoseley (USA)

Brad Hoseley is an artist residing in Brooklyn, New York. He received a degree in printmaking from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2018. Hoseley is currently making paintings that explore sexuality, normality, and the everyday. Reflecting on life experience, sexual fantasy, and breaking heteronormative ideologies. These paintings become vignettes of surrealist spaces. This comes from Hoseley upbringing in Meridian, Idaho with very limited connection to any form of queer history. With the use of playful colors, abstracted figures, and icons the scenes are created. These scenes depict ideas of love, freedom, anger, vulnerability, submission and dominance. Iconography used in the work becomes the connecting dots of Hoseley’s practice, expanding the universe he has created.
