Nooks

We often think of "nooks" as physical places we retreat to, spaces that offer comfort or security. A cozy sanctuary to fold back into oneself, reclaiming permission to be still. This is where the collection began. But as it evolved, I began to wonder whether it was the place that created the feeling, or the feeling that created the space? If the latter holds true, perhaps we could find nooks not just in places, but in people. A community. A fleeting moment we want to remember and pocket away. And when we've exhausted every way of searching outside of ourselves for that sense of home, we can retrace our steps inward. Knowing that regardless of the circumstance, the nook was right here all along.
