Blump is somewhat of a movie nerd. Well, to be honest he watches very few movies actually, but he is obsessed with the movie industry, both the romanticism of creating art on such a grand and collaborative scale, and also the unique business side of such undertakings. Every morning when he wakes up he first checks out the headlines from Deadline and Daily Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. He knows which studio has a good slate coming up, which directors are difficult to work with, which few stars can still open a film, and which producers have recently been cancelled due to sexual harassment allegations. He lives a world away from Hollywood though, so all his friends think this obsession is so strange.
